Designed by Martin Wallace, and based on the original,
Last Train to Wensleydale also designed by
Wallace.
Inspired by the
first German Steam Rail line in 1835.
Your company is far too small to be able to have its own engine works, so contacts with the major operators will help you acquire second-hand trains and rolling stock. You will also need to be on good terms with the two local railway companies. Without their support you will not be able to link to their networks,
How it's different form the original,
Last Train to Wensleydale:
- Can now be played with two players.
- Instead of cheese and stone, beer and post can be transported.
- Passengers can now travel First Class to increase victory points
- More expensive trains
- You may benefit from the first connection between Nuremberg and Fürth and receive victory points.
Note that you may play the original game of Last Train to Wensleydale on the flip side of the game board with some small rule changes.
