Many gamers use static grass to base their models. Simply paint the base of the model and when the paint is dry paint a layer of PVA glue over the base and put the top of the base in some static grass for a few seconds. Take it out and tap the base to get rid of any excess static grass.

One way to base your miniatures is to use flock. Start by painting the base green. Once the paint is dry, paint PVA glue over the top of the base. Then put the top of the base into some flock for a few seconds. Basing your models in this way gives your models that extra touch that makes them stand out from the rest.
